What is Tourism in Focus?

The Tourism in Focus: 30 July – 3 August 2012 is an initiative of the Tourism Industry Council of NSW. It is a week long campaign that aims to highlight the benefits the NSW tourism industry brings to the state’s economy and to showcase the exceptional tourism products we have available for all to enjoy.

It is also an opportunity to raise the profile and desirability of entering the NSW Tourism Awards, and the many benefits gained when they enter. It is also a chance to highlight excellence in tourism businesses and raise the perception of their quality, range and depth of service offering available.

In its first year, we hope to grow the program in the coming years by engaging bureaus, tourism businesses, members of the Tourism Council of NSW, Destination NSW, local government agencies and the media.

In conjunction with Tourism in Focus the Tourism Industry Council NSW is holding a teleconference for 2012 NSW Tourism Award entrants.

The teleconference is an opportunity to ask any questions you may have on the awards and submission process. The teleconference is being held on Friday the 3^rd of August at 10 am, just over 1 month out from the closing of submissions on September 7^th.
