National Visitor Survey (NVS) | September 2011

The National Visitor Survey (NVS) is the major source of information on the characteristics and travel patterns of domestic tourists. It measures travel for all reasons, including holiday and leisure travel, business travel and travel to visit friends and relatives.

The figures, released by Tourism Research Australia for the year ending September 30 highlight the importance of the visitor economy with an injection of $4.9 Billion into the NSW Economy, an increase of $301 Million over the previous year.
