The Australian Museum, in partnership with Questacon – The National Science & Technology Centre, is hosting an ocean themed exhibition titled ‘Deep Oceans’.
The exhibition enables visitors the opportunity to journey through the mysterious deeps oceans of the world, home to some of the most extraordinary creatures that exist in some of the most inhospitable conditions on earth.
The exhibition, taking place from the 16th June until 14th October, is comprised of amazing glow-in-the-dark sea creatures including the infamous Mr Blobby, a fathead found 1000m in deep water in the Tasman Sea, a replica of the Bathysphere, the first submersible to enter a world deprived of light in addition to learning about new technologies that oceanographers are utilising to map the countless seamounts below the ocean depths. The exhibition also encompasses an under 5s trail designed to entertain and educate children.
