Tourism Research Australia has recently released its March Quarter 2012 International Visitor Survey (IVS). The IVS obtains its data by conducting the survey with 40,000 departing, short-term international travellers visiting Australia, aged fifteen and over.
The IVS contains around 100 questions regarding their recent visit to Australia. Some of the questions comprised within the survey include number of nights spent within Australia; their reasons for travel to Australia, locations they visited; how their travel arrangements were made; any income they may have earned during their trip as well as their expenditure; their sources of information on travelling to Australia and their impressions on aspects of Australia.
